For the first time, the Singapore Chefs’ Association will be sending a Singapore National Junior Culinary Team for the international IKA Culinary Olympics.
The IKA/Culinary Olympics is the oldest, largest and most diverse international culinary arts competition in the world. Pofessional chef teams work on the perfect interaction of ingredients, preparation and presentation. In this competition, new culinary trends have been created for nearly 125 years.
The team members are: Jasper Loh (team captain) and members Camos Chong, Desmond See, Angeline Shim, Pierre Lee, pastry member Abigail Say and team assistants Ang Kian Shiang and Eugene Yong. Elvin Chew is the team manager.
The Singapore National Junior Culinary Team will have to go through two categories in the competition.
At the Restaurant of Nations category, the young international chefs will prepare a three-course menu for 70 visitors, priced at : €52 per Person.
At the Junior Chefs Table, the young chefs will prepare a five-course menu from fingerfood to fish and/or seafood and rabbit through to the dessert, for 10 pax, priced at €115 per person.
The team from Singapore is slated to compete on 6 Feb (from CET 11:00 to 13: 00) and 4 Feb (from CET 19:00)
