Sim Ee Waun is a professional communicator and media practitioner. She has been teaching public speaking and communications at the National University of Singapore for the last four years, and also runs her own publishing firm Pepper Dog Press. Before that, she was a food and travel journalist for almost 30 years. During that time, she was editor for various magazines including Wine & Dine, Stir, BBC Good Food, as well as wrote extensively for other titles like Appetite, Epicure, ST Life, Flavours (Malaysia) and The Peak. Because of her close association with the F&B industry for the three decades, Ee Waun has a deep understanding of the communications needs of F&B professionals in dealing with their publics.
She was also a public relations professional for many years and handled corporate, financial and crisis communications issues. Her clients included SembCorp Industries, Ford Motors, National Library of Singapore, Rockwell, Agilent Technologies, and the Airline Pilots Association Singapore, amongst many others. Ee Waun holds a BA (Hons) in English Language & Literature, a Graduate Diploma in Marketing, and a Master’s Degree in International Journalism.
