In 1984, a visionary group of culinary professionals came together with a shared dream: to elevate the status of chefs in Singapore and create a community that fosters excellence. Their dedication laid the foundation for what would become the nation’s premier culinary association.

Singapore Chefs Association was established to represent professional cooks and advance the culinary profession in Singapore. A small group of passionate chefs came together with a vision to elevate the industry.

Organized the first national culinary competition, establishing a platform for local chefs to showcase their talents and skills.

Joined the World Association of Chefs' Societies (WACS), connecting Singapore chefs to a global network of over 100 countries.

Established a landmark national platform for local chefs to showcase their technical skills and craft.
Chef Eric Teo was elected as the very first Singaporean President of the SCA, taking over from expatriate leaders and steering the association toward local mentorship.
The Singapore National Culinary Team clinched the prestigious Culinary World Cup Double Championship in Luxembourg, winning both the Hot Cooking and Cold Display categories in the same year.
Singapore welcomed over 900 global culinary leaders by hosting the massive 40th Worldchefs Congress & Expo, marking 34 years since they first brought the event to Asia in 1990.
Under the SCA banner, the Singapore National Pastry Team was crowned World Champions at the Gelato World Cup in Rimini, Italy, showcasing the nation's pinnacle mastery of dessert arts.
